Zunzún Children Fest!
FUNDarte’s FY 2016-17 Season opens Saturday, October 1, 2016 with a Gala for the 2nd International Festival of The Arts for Youth and Children, “Zun Zún Children Fest” featuring: Rita Rosa Ruesga; Robbi Kumalo; Lucy Kalantari and “My Superhero Roberto Clemente” by Teatro SEA among other educational events. This event is presented in partnership with Zunzún Arts and Education and The Miami Dade County Auditorium.
An International Festival of Performing Arts for Youth and Children Arts! In partnership with Zunzún Arts and Education.
On Saturday, November 5th and 6th at the Mid Stage at Miami Dade County Auditorium, No Borders will present Los silencios del baile, by Casa Patas Foundation for an evening of contemporary Flamenco dance and music from Madrid, Spain, featuring choreographer and dancer Francisco Hidalgo.
This performance is funded in part by a grant from South Arts in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, FUNDarte and The Miami Dade County Auditorium.
LATINOAMERICAN CONTEMPORARY THEATRE!
Chile’s Silencio Blanco Theatre Company* will come to Miami as part of No Borders 2016 to perform the Florida premiere of the play Chiflón, on January 27 and 28 at On.Stage Black.box at The Miami Dade County Auditorium. This work will be performed in Spanish with English super-titles.
This engagement of Silencio Blanco is made possible through Southern Exposure: Performing Arts of Latin America, a program of Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. This event is presented in partnership with The Miami Dade County Auditorium.
GLOBAL CUBA FEST!
GLOBAL CUBA FEST 10th Anniversary celebrates the presence of the Cuban Diaspora in Miami from March 9th to the 26th featuring top artists from Cuba and the Cuban Diaspora. This program is presented in partnership with Miami Light Project and Miami Dade County Auditorium. FUNDarte has won a 2-year Knights Arts Challenge award for the project “From El Barrio to the Mainstage”, an initiative to commission and present four Miami-based musical artists to new audiences. FUNDarte is proud to present Carlos Puig as a recipient of one of our Knight Arts Challenge commissions.
CLIMAKAZE MIAMI 2017, occurring in May 5 - 7, 2017 will consist of a series of performances, lectures, educational activities, and field trips at various venues, including the On.Stage Black.Box. FUNDarte’s 2-year Knights Arts Challenge program “From El Barrio to the Mainstage” also supports Inez Barlatier as a featured Climakaze Miami artist, and recipient of one of our Knight Arts Challenge commissions.

OUT IN THE TROPICS! June, 2017. Miami Beach – various venues.
Join FUNDarte for a week of performances and educational activities by local, national, and international artists that address complex themes of gender politics and LGBTQ issues. Out in the Tropics also brings exciting free events including educational activities that provide intimate insights into the creative process of the artists presented. The series features community workshops, lectures, and other educational activities. FUNDarte’s Out in the Tropics is a unique, daring, and artistically outstanding performance series featuring work by some of today’s most innovative and relevant LGTBQ artists.
