FUNDarte and Miami- Dade County Auditorium present in collaboration with Rhythm Foundation!

 

This year, FUNDarte and Miami- Dade County Auditorium in partnership with Rhythm Foundation present Luis Pescetti in concert on October 13th at 3:00 p.m. (Doors opens at 2:00 p.m) at the Miami Beach Bandshell as part of ZunZún Children’s Fest and Miami Beach Arts In The Park Program.

 

The ZunZún Children’s Festival celebrates annually with the family and the youngest audiences a varied program of bilingual projects that brings together local and visiting artists to promote the appreciation of universal culture and the values of “Hispanidad”.

About the Artists

 

Luis Pescetti is a prominent Argentine actor and writer, known for his versatility in comedy for both adults and children. As a comedian for adults and children, he has worked in radio, television, and theaters in the United States, Spain, Colombia, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Uruguay, and Cuba. He also worked in Argentina and Mexico, where he did radio for 14 years and television for 7 years. Among the awards he has received are: Latin Grammy (USA, 2010), and nominations for the Latin Grammy in 2017 and 2018. Teatro del Mundo (Argentina, 2010), Caniem (Mexico, 2010), Konex Award (decade 2001-2010 in children’s shows). Gardel Award (Argentina, 2009, 2012, 2014, 2018, and 2019). The White Ravens (Germany, in 1998, 2001, and 2005); Pregonero Radio Award 2005 (El Libro Foundation, Argentina); Alija (IBBY Argentina, 1998, 2010), Alija for Poetry Book (IBBY Argentina, 2013); Casa de las Américas Award, 1997 (Cuba). He was also declared a Distinguished Personality of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, an Illustrious Visitor of the City of Córdoba (Argentina), a Distinguished Visitor of the city of Alta Gracia (Córdoba), a Cultural Ambassador, and later an Illustrious Citizen of the city of San Jorge (Argentina). He has performed in prestigious theaters and festivals, including: Hay Festival (England-Cartagena). Cervantino Festival, Sala Nezahualcóyotl (UNAM), Teatro de la Ciudad, National Center for the Arts (Mexico). Metropolitan Theater (3,000 people), National Auditorium (7,000 people) in Mexico. General San Martín Theater, Metropolitan Theater, TED Conference (Argentina). Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, Casa Encendida, Salamanca European Capital of Culture, and Nuevo Teatro Alcalá (Spain), White Ravens Festival (Germany). He has published more than thirty books: novels and stories for children and adults in which humor, philosophical play, and dialogue play a special role. As an author, he is present throughout Latin America, with more than 2,500,000 copies sold. Numerous libraries and school halls and educational centers bear his name. He has released 15 albums and seven audiovisuals, some with guest artists such as Juan Quintero, el Negro Aguirre, Lito Vitale.
