Ever Chavez

Executive Director

Ever Chavez is the Founder and Co-Director, FUNDarte, Inc. He acts as the managing producer of all FUNDarte productions and presentations and undertakes other duties such as fundraising, Artist Promotion; Development and Marketing; Board Development; Media and Public Relations; Tickets Sales; and Audience Development. Since relocating to Miami in 2000, he has been instrumental in production and presentation of other local arts organizations as well. Since 2002, he has worked as a production consultant with Miami Dade College Cultural Affairs for all Cultura del Lobo events. He also worked as the Production Coordinator for Teatro Avante, Inc. & The International Hispanic Theatre Festival as the Coordinator for all theatre, dance, music and exhibits in 2001 & 2002; Coordinator for all Festivals Extensions (Broward, New York, Los Angeles & Albuquerque); Coordinator for the Educational Component; and as Coordinator for yearly full season presentations with Miami-Dade County Public Schools (2001 & 2002). Ever is a graduate of the Institute of Communications in Rostov, Russia, and studied theater dance and event production in Cuba, with post-graduate studies in Theater, Film and Television from Teatro Estudio in Havana. Prior to arriving in Miami in 2000, he served as the Executive Producer for Teatro El Público and Trianón Theater in Havana, Cuba for 7 years, with whom he toured extensively throughout Latin America and Europe. He has also served as Production Director for the European Fund for Performing Arts and Dance in Madrid, Spain and the Executive Producer National Theater of Cuba, Havana.

Carlos M. Caballero

Programming Director | Treasurer

Carlos Caballero is FUNDarte’s Program Coordinator. Since 2007, Carlos has been actively combining his coordinator duties at FUNDarte with his career as an artist. Carlos is an actor and theater director with an extensive history in international theater, film, television, and multimedia performance. Caballero studied Art History at the University of Havana, and graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts of Havana (ISA) with a degree in Theater and Acting. As a director, Caballero premiered the work “Writing in Sand” in Miami in 2015, which was selected by the National Performance Network to tour several cities in three Central American Countries, and which was presented at the International Theater Festival in Havana in 2015. Every performance of “Writing in Sand” in each country in which it has appeared sold out completely and, in some cases, extra performances were added to meet audience demand. Caballero has also received a Best New Work award from the Miami Herald for the widely acclaimed play “Sueño Americano” by José Eduardo Pardo which he directed in 2003. He directed a performance work by Elizabeth Doud called “Sipping Fury from a Teacup” in 2011, commissioned by FUNDarte’s Miami On Stage series. In 2001, Caballero wrote and directed a children’s play titled “The Witch of the Year” which was presented through the Miami-Dade Public Library System and in public schools across Miami.

Celia Ledón

Designer and Producer

Celia Ledon is a Miami-based costume designer. She graduated from IPDI (Polytechnic Institute of Industrial Design) as a project developer in 2005; she continued her studies at ISDI (Superior Institute of Industrial Design) and graduated as an Industrial Designer in 2011. Later received several courses and workshops in art direction and costume design for movies, among others. Since graduation, participated in various exhibitions, festivals, and theater plays both in Cuba and other places around the world, including Kennedy Center (Washington DC), Designlab (Miami), DORCAM Doral Contemporary Art Museum, galleries in Portugal, and Cuba such as FAC, The Museum of Fine Arts among others. Celia works as a costume designer in Teatro el Publico, Ludi Teatro, dance companies, and other independent companies on and off, producing theater plays, operas, and dance shows. She is a costume designer and art director in video clips, fiction short films, commercials, and feature films, receiving several awards. Since 2018 she has joined the Clandestina creative group as a costume and pattern designer until 2020.  During the pandemic made several exhibits as a visual artist and have participated in several independent theater projects through FUNDarte.
