As part of this season’s international cultural partnership program, FUNDarte will produce a new contemporary dance piece with Miami-based artists in partnership with Mexican dancer, activist, and choreographer Lukas Avendaño.

Lukas Avendaño (Oaxaca, 1977) is a Mexican performance artist and anthropologist who identifies as a muxe. His work is characterized by exploring sexual, ethnic, and gender identity.
