Life is a Song – Yisel Duque in Concert

FUNDarte present, Life is a Song by Yisel Duque at The Gleason Room Backstage at the Fillmore (1700 Washington Avenue Miami Beach, FL 33139)
September 26, 2014 – 8:30 p.m.
Singer-Songwriter Yisel Duque’s on-stage performance is an explosion of raw intimacy with personalized rare melodies and rhythmic vestiges of Cuban and Brazilian movements. She has a rare labyrinth of soothing, intimate, and delicate cadence in her voice that simply grabs you and brings chills up your spine; and at the same time you’ll feel that she is whispering her sundry and powerful voice in your ear. Yisel’s edgy yet delicate sounds are influenced by the musical worlds of Brazil’s Jobim, England’s Beatles, Cuba’s José Antonio Mendez, the classical music of Yo-Yo Ma, Alternative Rock’s Coldplay, Belgium’s Toots Thielemans, and Jazz great Ella Fitzgerald.
