Strategic Alliances. FUNDarte for MAMP

Strategic Alliances

The alliance with Organizations such as Flamenco Festival and Casa Patas Flamenco Foundation from Spain, has allowed us to present the world’s most recognized artists of the flamenco genre, combining those who cultivate the most traditional aspect, to the most innovative.

Collaboration with local venues such as Miami-Dade County Auditorium and South Miami-Dade Cultural Art Center have been decisive for the audience of our city to enjoy these performances.

In recent years we have collaborated with organizations across the nation, such as Americans for the Arts, Georgetown University, Walker Art Center, New York Public Theater, or John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts among many others.

But perhaps the best story to illustrate the power of a solid Strategic Alliance is the relationship we have established in the last two decades with Miami Light Project at the Global Cuba Fest presentation.

Every year, FUNDarte and Miami Light Project come together to present Global Cuba Fest, a celebration of the culture and rhythms of Cuba.

Global Cuba Fest is an annual series of concerts that for many years has brought the most talented musicians from Cuba and the Cuban Diaspora to Miami audiences.

The collaboration of venues, such as Miami Dade County Auditorium and North Beach Bandshell, our joint work with the local station WDNA FM and the presenter Vivíam María López, have been important pieces to achieve the success of Global Cuba Fest for more than a decade.

Instead of competing and emulating each other, instead of shutting down and keeping an audience captive, we have opted for a strategic alliance. Our goal from the beginning has been to join forces to reach an increasingly broad and diverse audience.

We have also brought together renowned artists, who for the first time have met on stage. We have broken ideological and political taboos, using culture as a bridge to unite rather than separate people and artists.

That’s what diversifying audiences is all about, creating new networks and forging long standing strategic alliances. Because “Together we are Stronger”
